good for when you want a simple but fun action flick - nothing hugely special but fun, quite gorey (which isn't always the case with action films) and exciting at points.

Imagine Me & You review
Posted : 10 years, 7 months ago on 15 April 2014 02:35 (A review of Imagine Me & You)Super cheesy and not my usual favourite type of film, but it is one of my all time favourties! A real feel good film and plenty of chuckles.
I enjoy a good 'chick flick' every now and then but it certainly isn't my favourite genre and they all tend to be the same. This does differ slightly, mostly because the love interest involves two ladies and that obviously opens up new horizons for the genre. I'm not entirely sure why, but it is one of my favourite films and as long as you can handle a bit of cheese and a rom-com I'm sure you'll enjoy it too.

Insidious review
Posted : 10 years, 10 months ago on 27 January 2014 12:21 (A review of Insidious)I started this film with a pessimistic attitude, however the film changed my opinion and I started to enjoy it (still knowing it wasn't the best, but good fun and better than a lot of recent horrors). Unfortunatly, it started going downhill again. So overall it was average for me, nearly better. I wouldn't scream for you to go an see it, but I wouldn't tell you NOT to see it either...

Spring Breakers review
Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 1 September 2013 01:39 (A review of Spring Breakers)I really loved some of the cinematography and direction but the jump around editing did not work for this film. I have enjoyed in fact loved films that have used this technique before but for this film it got boring and old very quickly. It felt far to 'try-hard' and the script was just awful. It even made James Franco seem like quite a bad actor. I mean he played what he was meant to be well but it just felt awkward. If I hadn't seen or heard of him before I would have thought he was a pretty bad actor, personally. Also Ashley Benson (from what I've seen of her before) is quite good but I didn't like her at all in this. For Selena and Vanessa I have only seen some of their classic Disney bits and I'm not a fan or HSM or WOWP so I can't really comment on comparison. I haven't watched it all yet so perhaps I shouldn't judge but it just got too old(I got to around where Faith left). I might try again but I'm not in any rush to try.

Water for Elephants review
Posted : 11 years, 9 months ago on 5 February 2013 12:46 (A review of Water for Elephants)LOVED this book. Picked it up at a second hand book shop in Hamsted, which feels like years ago. It exceeded my expectations and my mum (whose read A LOT of books in her time and her opinion to me and many friends means a lot) loved it too! I also enjoy googling a book after reading and at the time the film was about to go into production...still haven't seen it...

Skins review
Posted : 11 years, 11 months ago on 25 December 2012 07:13 (A review of Skins)I wont rate because it really depends on the generation. The first is probably the best, of course but I do love the second. Although it's cool to say you hate the third it really isn't great, especially compared to the others - the characters or the episodes but there were some really enjoyable ones.

Enter the Void review
Posted : 11 years, 11 months ago on 25 December 2012 07:06 (A review of Enter the Void)I really enjoyed it but it really did drag on.
Amazing cinematography and a good story
Just prepare for a long one and all your senses apart from smell will be offended at one some point.
